I. Research
Stakeholder Interview
Objective:
Understand the stakeholder’s goal(s) for the project, Gift Angel’s mission, and identify end user(s) for the website
Three Key Insights:
Provide thorough and detailed information to site visitors on Gift Angel’s mission, background, and initiatives
Online contributions were not a current active source of revenue, only source of revenue was through local donations
Additional goal of the website is to garner more volunteer interest for upcoming initiatives

User Surveys
Objective:
Identify the expectations of what end users want out of a non-profit website.
Three Key Insights:
66.7% of users visit a non-profit website to learn more about them, their values, and their goals.
The other 33.3% of users are interested in learning about volunteering or how to donate when visiting non-profit websites. Due to the way the current layout is, each category’s content is visible at all times, hindering loading speed as a result
As a whole, users find the organization’s goals slightly more important than past achievements.

Design Mock-Up
Key Takeaways
Gift Angels Foundation’s website is jam-packed with key information that showcases their initiatives to accommodate their growing audience of volunteers that seek to know what they are currently working on and how they intend to implement donations to further their mission. Website copy has been adapted to get Gift Angels Foundation’s end-users to clearly find what they are looking for and meet their goals.
Due to the nature of this project, a weekly check-in with the team and bi-weekly check-in with the stakeholder was necessary in getting the proper feedback to adjust the direction of the research and design phases. This allowed for constant iterations of the copy and design as we progressed through the design mock-up wireframes.
