Design Process
I. Discover
Stakeholder Interview
Objective:
Understand the stakeholder’s goal(s) for the project, Oahu ACA’s mission, and identify end user(s) for the website
Three Key Insights:
Oahu ACA needs a redesigned visual layout for the “Grants & Loans” page and feature a searchable database, that is sustainable by OahuACA employees for future edits
Searchable database must be easy to use, implement filters, and through current live Wix website
Redesigned visual layout must have a responsive framework for use on desktop and mobile.

Content Audit
Objective:
Identify the content in the “Grants & Loans” web page and assess what content is needed in the searchable database
Three Key Insights:
“Grants & Loans” web page is made up of eight categories
Due to the way the current layout is, each category’s content is visible at all times, hindering loading speed as a result
No current way to search for information on the webpage, just endless scrolling

Key Takeaways
With the creation of a searchable database, using Corvid by Wix and Wix Editor, end users of OahuACA’s website will have an easier time finding funding opportunities that pertain to them. The searchable database has been coded to allow for filtering and keyword searching, alongside a sustainable framework for further updates.
Due to the nature of the project, a constant flow of communication was necessary between Janice(Operations Manager), Tamara(Informations Specialist), and myself to complete the project in the tight scheduled deadline of two weeks. This allowed me to not only iterate the design throughout the process, but get feedback in every step.
